Burn the Bridges have a wide-ranging sound that could be best described as Americana meets Kiwi-ana. They take their influences from Country, Folk, Blues and Rock on the Americana side and add a bit of New Zealand flavor into the mix to give it that down home feel.
A varied musical background and a full band writing approach, lets all of these styles percolate through to their live set which is always super eclectic. The band shape shifts between styles to take you on a journey from chilled acoustic sawyers to bluesy soul ticklers, all the way to knees-up dance floor bangers!
Burn The Bridges had a big year in 2019, starting with with New Year’s show at Rhythm and Vines, and ending with a show opening for Angus and Julie Stone at the iconic Church Road Winery in Napier.
2020 will see the release on there debut album Home, coming out in August . Work has already started on their second album so watch this space.
